THE PSYCHOLOGY OF DECEPTION PART ONE
PSYCHOLOGY OF DECEPTION PART ONE
"I am a married man. My wife travels to neighboring countries to procure goods for sale. What if she has a boyfriend(s) that she sleeps with at the border - Customs, just to pass through the border effortlessly?."
"My wife has her life to live, and I do also. I don't want to have high blood pressure, in case my assumption comes to be one day. I like you."
LIVING IN ASSUMPTION VS DENIAL
The problem, with the decline in integrity as the world advances, is not a phenomenon that came into existence outside human aid. Centuries, prior to the 21st century, can fairly boast of communal living, and integrity. In this generation, knowledge upgrades per second, and we join the flight in an instant. But the ultimate knowledge that we acquire pushes us to memorize more theoretical frameworks, but we barely adopt the goodness of our knowledge to better human relationships.
Nobody craves to be broken. Nonetheless, pain is part of humankind. But we try, to build shields of denial, to protect our hearts from the truth about our humanity. We want to demonstrate toughness in the eyes of others when it's okay to cry sometimes. We, want to prove that our life is clean, by ridiculing or judging another person. We strongly strive for every means possible, to hide the fact that we are ignorant about something, or a subject matter. So, we miss out on opportunities to learn, especially, from people who are younger, or who we consider to be lesser than we are.
We pre-plan techniques, that will deter suffering away from our life. Most times, we wander out of reality into the chasm of assumptions. Through this act, we live our life wanting people to live their own life, grow in ideas, and heal from pain, according to our own agenda.
Moreso, we sometimes infer, that cheating on our partner will numb our pain, mend our broken heart, and erase the account of betrayal that may spring forth from our partner, family, or friends. Whereas, revenge is another prison that imprisons the innocent. Especially, when the alleged guilty person is yet to commit the crime.
However, the reason we come to believe that love is not in existence is skepticism. Our fear, our history of pain, our selfishness, and ego, maimed our ability to love or trust ourselves. This darkness beclouds our minds so much, so, we come into the conclusion, that everybody is our reflection, or everybody should resonate with our own mindset. This is not to say that dishonesty, hatred, and betrayal are illusions in this world. It's just a call back to the truth. The world is broken because we are all broken. Living to extend the circle of damage, will not mend you but further breaks you.
What are you mending?
What are you breaking?
To be continued...
